Against the newly reinforced Toulouse FC, PSG had to wait for a penalty kick in the final moments. Zlatan Ibrahimović scored and saved PSG again
Paris Saint-Germain – Toulouse FC 2-1
Goals: David Luiz (54th) and Zlatan Ibrahimović (89th p) for PSG; Moubandje (11th) for Toulouse FC.
Everybody wondered if Toulouse FC would be the first to bring down the PSG this season. The answer was no, not Toulouse. But all was not so easy for the Parisians. At 1-0, Toulouse was denied a clear penalty. In the process, David Luiz equalized from a corner and late in the game, a penalty was to be granted to PSG.
Karma, the damn thing. So yes, it was the Coupe de France with two teams heavily reinforced, but still, Adrien Regattin and his teammates had fun David Luiz, Ángel Di María, Edinson Cavani or Ezequiel Lavezzi. All with a very simple game idea: wait and try to take advantage, without taking any risks; simple and effective guidelines. A logical aim of Toulouse that rewards a terrible start. Slow, rough, never accelerating, PSG coughed its way through the first half before returning to business after the break, putting more speed and percussion. Time did the rest.
The Parisians are still racing on all fronts.
The club from the capital is the leader of the French Ligue 1, and is aiming at Coupe de France at the same time. Not to forget Champions League. At PSG the plan is to run until the pain is over.
