Steaua finished even, 2-2, in its first friendly match at their training camp in Antalya, with BSC Young Boys. Steaua’s coach, Reghecampf, only wanted to see in action the new players that were recently brought in.
Reghecampf did not use all 9 players transferred this winter. The newcomers that played today were: Bawab, Pintilii, Momcilovici, Marica, Popadiuc, Stefanescu and Chitoşcă.
Thaer Bawab started the match well and after 16 minutes he was faulted in the box; the referee pointed to the penalty spot and Hamrouni scored. 25 minutes later Bawab shot dangerously from a free kick, but the keeper got a hand to the shot.
Striker Marica was substituted after 30 minutes, as Reghecampf decided to use only one forward. Ciprian Marica was sent in again 30 minutes later, but he was hardly noticeable until the end of the first half, even if he struggled with the defense. But he filters a nice pass in the 61 minute and Hamrouni scored the second goal for Steaua between the legs of the keeper. After 78 minutes he left his place to Onţel.
Mihai Pintilii played from the first minute and closed the spaces well. In the second half, after Varela was replaced he took over the captain’s armband.
Marko Momčilović replace Varela in the 46 minute and Tosca played in the middle. The player performed well on the left side and held well.
Adi Popa was substituted by Popadiuc after 78 minutes: although he ran a lot, this was not a very good game for him. Mihalcea took the place of Hamrouni, but without any glitter.
Catalin Stefanescu got in at the same time replacing Stanciu and helped several times the champions’ offensive.
