Steaua ended in a draw, 2-2 with Young Boys, its opening match of the winter period training camp in Antalya.
Laurentiu Reghecampf’s team impressed Emeric Ienei, but the coach who won the European Cup with Steaua also saw the weaknesses of the team.
“I think it is a well-balanced team that tries to take possession and play. Of course they had a shorter period of preparation than the Swiss team. There is no concern though, there is still time to improve the game. The second half was weaker because of the lack of physical preparation. I liked the team especially in the first half when the game was pretty good” said Ienei.
Steaua viewed positively after the opening match: “I liked the team in the first half”
“I think the team needs a central defender and a wing-back even if there are young players who are polyvalent. I think the squad is balanced and there are good players who can fight and win the Romanian championship” Emeric Ienei
