Rayados confirm their great shape. They take home the three points thanks to both Carlos Sanchez and Funes Mori.

Monterrey continues to confirm its good shape and wins this important victory away over (1-3) Puebla. It is the only team, along with Leon, who got 6 points in the first two matches.

In the first part, the home team set out with great intensity, but suffered the first setback in the 13th minute, Flavio Santos had to leave the game with a thigh injury and was replaced with Mauro Cejas. Despite this bad news, in the 16th minute Christian Bermúdez scored after after a poor clearance by the defense (1-0). Certainly a true work of art.

In the 28th minute came the controversial play from Oscar Rojas, who touched the ball with his hand inside the area. The referee did not see it, but this incident could have changed the fate of the match. Monterrey tried everything possible before the break. Rogelio Funes Mori succeeded to tie the game (1-1).

In the second part, the game was balanced, but on the whole, Antonio Mohamed was more dangerous on the offense. But, Carlos Sanchez headed in a goal, putting his team in the advantage (1-2).

Pablo Marini’s team sought the equalizer until the end, but the final goal of Monterrey cut it short. Carlos Sanchez managed his brace against his former team (1-3) after raising the ball over the goalkeeper.

Monterrey adds its second consecutive victory and share leadership with Leon.

Puebla adds its first defeat in the tournament.
